BEGINNERS MUSIC & RHYTHM CAMP (ages 5-9) Scroll down to register!

We're exited to partner with the CoSA Foundation to offer this camp, located at the Coronado High School!  Welcome to an environment where young minds ages 5-9 can group together and learn the basics of rhythm through a deep exploration of percussion instruments. This 4 day experience will take young students on a rhythmic journey that allows a hands-on introduction to the vast array of instruments that fall under the “percussion” category. (Ex: marimba, timpani, tambourine, gong, cymbals). This will lead to the drum-set, which culminates the percussion family into one: combining this family of instruments. Campers will participate in a group led percussion ensemble and will gain opportunities in personal development for their own journey.

Cost $199 per session.  If you choose to register for both Session 1 & Session 2 you will receive a $40 discount.  Register by April 30, 2024 to receive a $50 discount.  A $99 deposit will be charged upon completion of this registration form.  The remaining balance owed will be charged to the credit card on file between June 15-June 30.

FAQS:

What is the student to instructor ratio?

5-6 students per instructor

Do they get outside/movement time?

Sure do. Our young learners will need a break here and there. Also, depending on weather, we are planning to incorporate a “field trip” portion where we travel to a different location in the high school courtyard or another classroom space just to keep things varied.

Will it be the same content each week?

For our campers attending both weeks we will have different content each week, the second week building on the first. For campers requesting either one or the other week their curriculum and schedule will be the same

Can you request a buddy?

We believe in the buddy system 😊. Anything that helps out young campers learn with greater confidence is a good thing.  Just let us know who you'd like their buddy to be!
